Lois Evelyn Wallace McRorie

LAWNDALE — Mrs. Lois Evelyn Wallace McRorie, 86, of 333 E. Main St.,
died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Born in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late D. T. and
Minnie Mae Southards Wallace. She was a homemaker and retired as a
lunchroom worker at Piedmont School. She was a member of First United
Methodist Church of Lawndale.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Cyrus Pratt McRorie Sr.; a brother, Hugh Wallace; and two sisters, Ruby
Whisnant and Syble Daggerhart.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Cyrus Jr. and
Suzanne McRorie of Greenwood, S.C., Reece and Jennifer McRorie of Shelby
and Kevin and Suzanne McRorie of Lawndale; two daughters and
sons-in-law, Becky and Gene Hopkins of Charlotte and Lydia and Bob
Hendrick of Shelby; a brother, Ralph Wallace of Lawndale; sister,
Jearldean Wease, of Lawndale; 10 grandchildren, Chad McRorie, Gina
Hopkins, Scott Summerlin, Michael Summerlin, Robin Hendrick, Cyrus
McRorie III, Michael McRorie, Emily Steele, Joseph McRorie and Erica
Owensby; and four great-grandchildren, Zeke McRorie, Jesse Summerlin,
Sam Summerlin and Chloe Summerlin.
Visitation: The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8 at
Stamey Funeral Home.
Funeral: The funeral is Friday at 2 p.m. at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel
