Annie Maude Newton Walker
CASAR — Mrs. Annie Maude Newton Walker, 93, of 151
Valleydale Drive, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at home.
Born Oct. 28, 1911, in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Julius M. Newton and Cornelia Cook Newton. She was a homemaker and a
member of St. Paul Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Addie Edward Walker; a son, Maurice Walker; a brother, Edison Newton;
and two sisters, Lona Buff and Hattie Newton.
She is survived by four sons, Forest Walker, Lawrence Walker, Raymond
Walker and Ray Walker, all of Casar; two daughters, Coleen Parker and
Nadine Goodman, both of Casar; a brother, Robert Newton of Casar; two
sisters, Ruby Costner and Wilma Walker, both of Casar; 17 grandchildren;
32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church, with
Dr. Ernest Speagle and the Rev. Bobby Ledford officiating. The body will
be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will
follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight at Stamey Funeral Home from 6:30
to 8.
