Dwight Fritz Wright
LAWNDALE - Mr. Dwight Fritz Wright, 86, of 1526 Union Church
Road, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Hattie Wright Cogdell.
He retired from the maintenance department of Cleveland County. He was a member
of Rehobeth United Methodist Church, the Rehobeth Breakfast Club and was a
former choir member and steward of the church.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Nell Wright
Covington; and two sisters, Mary Queen and Lula Mae Hastings.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mattie Ledford Wright; two sons and
daughters-in-law, Joe and Jane Wright of Oriental and Don and Vickie Wright of
Lawndale; four grandchildren, Phillip Wright, Dean Wright, Ricky Wright and
Wendy Rogers; and five great-grandchildren, Lindsay Wright, Evan Dwight Wright,
Connor Rogers, Mason Rogers and Kendall Rogers.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Rehobeth United Methodist Church, with
the Revs. Mary Carnes and Zeno Wright officiating. Burial will be in the church
cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall one hour before
the service.
