Ralph Gardner Wease
CHERRYVILLE — Mr. Ralph Gardner Wease, 83, of 309 W. Second St.,
died Saturday, June 28, 2003, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Cleveland County on June 2, 1920, a son of the late Charles E.
and Lena Digh Wease. He was retired from Burlington Industries and Howell
Manufacturing with over 40 years of service, and was a member of First Baptist
Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Hayes
Wease in 1993, five brothers and a sister.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Karen W. and Richard Pearson of
Cherryville; a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Sharon Wease of Cherryville;
four grandchildren, Kim Pearson of Shelby, Todd Pearson of Cherryville; Brad
Pearson of Shelby and Allyson Buie of Winston-Salem; and three
great-grandchildren, Gracie Pearson and Harper and Sawyer Buie.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr.
Vince Hefner officiating. Burial will follow in City Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Carpenters Funeral Home,
and at other times at the home.
