Ethel L. Shuford
LAWNDALE - Mrs. Ethel L. Shuford, 85, of 3846 Harris Creek Road,
died Monday, Jan. 21, 2002, at her home.
Born Dec. 17, 1916, in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Robert
Eli and Bessie Ada Peeler Shuford.
She retired from the dietary department at Broughton Hospital. She belonged to
Palm Tree United Methodist Church,
where she was a member of United Methodist Women.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers,
Lawrence Shuford, Norris Shuford and
Garland Shuford; and three sisters, Macie S. Lee, Cora S. Crowder and Lucy S.
Freeman.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Adele and William Huegele of Fort
Lauderdale, Fla.; two grandsons,
William Todd Huegele and Richard Anthony Huegele; and two great-grandsons,
Andrew "Andy" Huegele and Kevin Huegele.
The funeral will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Palm Tree United Methodist Church with
the Revs. Mike Harrill and Bill
Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7:30 at Stamey Funeral Home of
Fallston.
