Marcus Wayne Scism
LUCIA — Mr. Marcus Wayne Scism, 30, of Stanley, died Thursday,
Feb. 6, 2003, in Charlotte.
He was born Oct. 12, 1972, in Cleveland County. Marcus was a truck driver for
Stock Builders, a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church and a graduate of Crest
High School Class of 1990.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Helms Scism; parents, John Wayne Scism and
Teresa Bell Scism of Shelby; stepsons, Terry and Blake Goodman of the home;
brothers, Scott Scism of Gastonia, Pad and Les Paul Scism, both of Shelby; and
grandmother, Cathleen Haynes of Shelby.
The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Mount Sinai Baptist Church with the
Revs. Tim Trexler and Broadus Heatherly officiating. Interment will be in the
church cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Raymer Funeral Home in
Huntersville.
