Loy Russell Pritchard

Loy R. Pritchard, 48, of Lawndale, died at his home at 7 p.m. Friday of a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Lawndale Baptist Church. The Rev. Raymond Needham and the Rev. T.W. Estes will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Baptist Church cemetery.
Pritchard retired last year from Cleveland Mills. He was a member of the Lawndale Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Bivens Pritchard of Lawndale; one son, Sgt. Caroll Pritchard of Ft. Gordon, Ga.; two brothers, Clyde T. Pritchard of Lawndale, and Boyce A. Pritchard of Amesbury, Mass.; three sisters, Mrs. Vance Champion of Shelby, Mrs. T.B. Richards Jr. of Greenville, S.C., and Mrs. Naomi Wright of Shelby; and two grandchildren. Clay-Barnette Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
