Gene Edward Pearson
MORGANTON — Mr. Gene Edward Pearson, 63, of Jim McCall Road,
died unexpectedly, Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at his home.
Born Aug. 10, 1939, in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Eddison Earl
and Edith Neal Pearson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by
two brothers, Roger Pearson and Bill Martin. Mr. Pearson served in the Army and
was a retired employee of Broughton Hospital. He was a wonderful and talented
soloist.
Mr. Pearson is survived by his wife, Edith Tallent of the home; a brother, Jerry
Pearson of Shelby; a sister, Brenda Pearson of Shelby; and canine companions,
Abbey and Mystry.
The funeral will be Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman
Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends one and a half hours before the service.
