John Franklin Ledford
CASAR — Mr. John Franklin Ledford, 81, of 301 Corinth Church
Circle, died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in
Shelby.
A native of Cleveland County, he was born Jan. 5, 1921. He was a retired
self-employed farmer and member of New Home United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Marvin and Buna Lattimore Ledford;
and a sister, Virginia Ledford.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary C. Ledford of the home; two sons
and daughters-in-law, Carl and Brenda Ledford and Billy and Sherry Ledford, all
of Lawndale; and a grandson and his wife, Max and Pam Ledford of Lawndale.
The funeral will be tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Stamey Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed
Lee officiating.
A graveside service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at New Home United Methodist
Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral tonight at the
funeral home.
