Leunia Hudson Johnson
LAWNDALE - Mrs. Leunia Hudson Johnson, 77, of
203 Creekwood Road, died Friday, July 23, 1999, at Cleveland Regional Medical
Center.
A native of Cleveland County, she was born May 12, 1922, a daughter of the late
Johnnie Lemmie and Barbara Jane Turner Hudson. She was a homemaker and a member
of Hudson Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jessie McClure Johnson of the home; one daughter
and son-in-law, Evelyn and Eazell Whisnant of Lawndale; two brothers, Carl
Hudson and Frank Hudson, both of Casar; and four sisters, Lula Mae Downs of
Casar, Dorothy Piercy of Morganton, Muriel Hull of Valdese and Mary Sue Braddy
of Vale.
The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Olive Grove Baptist Church with the
Revs. Jerry Hudson and Terrill Crump officiating. The body will be placed in the
church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Stamey Funeral Home.
