Donald Steve Garver
CLOVER, S.C. — Mr. Donald Steve Garver, 61, of 1088 Bate Harvey
Road, died Monday, March 20, 2004, at home.
Born June 20, 1942, in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Ambrose Andrew
Garver Sr. and Nishie Jeffries Garver. Mr. Garver an Army veteran, retired from
Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and owner of Garver Printing Company. He was
a member of First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 208 of Clover and a
Hejaz Shriner. Mr. Garver was an avid hunter, fisherman and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby
Peace, Marie Yount and Jackie Bagley.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda L. Garver of the home; a son and
daughter-in-law, Jason and Lee Garver of Clover, S.C.; grandchildren, Morgan and
Greyson Garver of Clover, S.C.; a brother, Junior Garver of Lawndale; and
sisters, Evelyn Carter of Hickory, Frances Poston of Polkville, Pearl Bumgardner
of Shelby and Barbara Mullaney of Charlotte.
The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, conducted
by the Rev. Irvin Plowden Jr. and Rev. Paul Hutchison.
Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
