John Thomas Fox
LAWNDALE - Mr. John Thomas Fox, 81, of 301 E. Main St, died
Friday, July 7, 2000.
Born June 19, 1919, in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Wilby Edward
and Clementine "Clem" Blanton Fox. He was a retired structural ironworker. He
was a member of Lawndale United Methodist Church and Lawndale Masonic Lodge No.
486. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Grude
Fox, Ernest Fox and Edward Fox; and a sister, Paris Fox.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Southard Fox; two sons, Dennis "Denny" Fox and
his wife, Mary, and Bill Fox; a grandson, John Fox; and a granddaughter, Kristin
Fox.
The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Lawndale United Methodist Church, with
the Rev. David Reep officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30
minutes before the service. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park with
masonic rites.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Stamey Funeral
Home.
