Elaine Costner Causby
LAWNDALE - Mrs. Elaine Costner Cosby, 72, of 131 Wes Cook Road,
died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, at Frye Regional
Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Kelly Ambrose and
Susie Peeler Costner.
She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church and a retired seamstress with
Universal Textiles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles
"Hoover" Causby; a brother, Everett
Costner; and two sisters, Lizzie Costner and Madge Costner.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Dennis Bowman of Casar;
a granddaughter, Emily Bradshaw of
Casar; a grandson, Kiel Bowman of Casar; four brothers, Arthur Costner, Maurice
Costner and Gerald "Bunny" Costner,
all of Casar, and Flay Costner of Shelby; three sisters, Maybelle Willis of
Belwood, Stella Newton of Casar and
Flossie Meade of Lawndale.
The funeral will be tonight at 7:30 at St. Paul Baptist Church with the Revs.
Ernest Speagle and R.A. Brackett
officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7:30 at the church.
Stamey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
