Johnnie Lee Beaver Dies In Hospital; Funeral On Monday

Johnnie Lee Beaver, 40, of Hollis died at Shelby Hospital at
6:10 a.m. today after illness of a few days.
He was a brother of Summie A. Beaver, who was killed in a
dynamite explosion in a well near Polkville three weeks ago.
Funeral services will be conducted at Union Baptist Church
Monday at 3 p.m. The Rev. Forrest Teague will officiate, assisted by the Rev.
D.W. Digh. interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Beaver is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian Jones
Beaver; and 10 children of the home, J.W., Billy, John Jr., Jimmy, Norman,
Joyce, Lois, Tommy, Ronny and Roger Beaver.
Also surviving are: his mother, Mrs. Jake Beaver of Hollis,
three brothers, Fred Beaver of Lawndale, Ernest Beaver of Hollis, Bill Beaver of
Shelby; and two sisters, Mrs. Jimmie Poole of Ellenboro and Mrs. Flay Jones of
Shelby.
