Faye Toney Nettles

Aug. 10, 1916 - March 1, 2008
LAWNDALE — Mrs. Faye Toney Nettles, 91, of 2725 Toney Road, died Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Nettles was born in Cleveland County and was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing the piano and entertaining residents of life enrichment centers, rest homes, senior centers and area churches. Mrs. Nettles was an active member of Double Shoals Baptist Church until her health declined.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam Alexander Toney and Minnie Jane Eskridge Toney; husband, Melvin William Nettles; brothers Paul, Fields, Blaine and Edward Worth Toney; and sisters, Eva, Evie and Grace Toney and Ruby Ledford.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jane Cooke and husband, Steve, of Lawndale; two grandsons, Tony and Greg Cooke; and two great-granddaughters, Katie and Kelley Cooke,
Visitation: The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. At other times the family will be at the home of Steve and Jane Cooke, 2725 Toney Road, Lawndale.
Funeral: Today, 2 p.m. at Double Shoals Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Burial: Double Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery
