Frances Beatrice "Bea" Richards Ledford

VALDESE - Mrs. Frances Beatrice "Bea" Ledford, 85, went to her Heavenly Home on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, from Burke Hospice and Palliative Care Center, after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Ledford was born Feb. 7, 1923, in Cleveland County, to the late Pierce Pinkney and Bessie Blanton Richards. She was a faithful member of the Valdese First United Methodist Church and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving is her husband, Talmadge Rowe Ledford of the home; one son Talmadge Carroll Ledford and wife, Claranne, of Clermont, Fla.; two daughters, Teresa L. Church and husband, Jim, of Hillsborough, and Dawn L. Moses of Richmond, Va.; grandchildren, Scott T. Ledford of Arlington, Va., Lisa Phinney of Cairo, Egypt, Shannon Anderson of Arnold, Md., Gina Horne of Chapel Hill, Tracey Fluharty of Waxhaw, Cpl. Mitchell Moses, Matthew Moses and Haley Moses all of Richmond, Va.; great-grandchildren, Alaina and Maya Phinney of Cairo, Egypt, Kyle Pulver of Arnold, Md., and Eli Horne of Chapel Hill.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Sunday, Oct. 26, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
Funeral: Sunday, Oct. 26, 3 p.m., First United Methodist Church, Valdese
Entombment: Rose Hill Mausoleum, Fallston
