Lero Hudson

CASAR — Rev. Lero Hudson, 87, of 711 Moriah Church Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at Hospice of Rutherford County.

Born June 16, 1918, in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Rev. Albert Hudson and Ida Hudson Hudson. He was a retired minister. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Casar. He was retired as a full-time pastor at Wallace Grove Baptist Church in Shelby.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny, Belo and Arlo Hudson; and a son-in-law, John David Hull.

He is survived by his wife, Mattie Lee McNeilly Hudson; a son, Harold Hudson and wife, Joan, of Shelby; a daughter, Dorothy Ann Hull of Casar; a sister, Delia Faye Hudson of Morganton; five grandchildren, Paul Hudson and Amy Hudson, both of Shelby, Michael Hull of Vale, David Hull of Rutherfordton and Robin Hull of Casar; four great-grandchildren, Alan Hull, Ashley Hull, Mark Hull and Dillon Hull; and three great-great-grandchildren, Rose Hull, Alana Hull and Alexis Clinton.

The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church, with the Revs. Norris Willis and Danny McNeilly officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7:30 at Stamey Funeral Home.
