Donald Jesse Eaker

Died March 27, 2007
SHELBY — Mr. Donald Jesse Eaker, 73, of South Post Road, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at home.
A native of Cleveland County, Mr. Eaker was a son of the late Maurice and Lucy Martin Eaker. He served in the Army with the 82nd Airborne. He was the owner of the Taste-T Drive-in in Shelby. He was a member of Patterson Springs Baptist Church. Don enjoyed fishing and yard work. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.
Mr. Eaker is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Betty Jo Eaker; sons, Scott Eaker and wife, Wanda, Andy Eaker and Wes Eaker, all of Shelby; brothers, Dale Eaker and wife, Pat and Bob Eaker and wife, Ruth, all of Lawndale; sister, Nellie Jenco and husband, Joe, of Baltimore; grandchildren, Ben Eaker and wife, Jovi, Lauren Eaker, Paige Eaker and Melissa Eaker; and great-grandchildren, Dylan Eaker, Jordan Eaker, Kiara Roseboro and Chavis Roseboro.
Visitation: The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home.
Funeral: Thursday at 11 a.m. at Patterson Springs Baptist Church with military honors
Burial: Private burial in Patterson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery
